Dehradun, 6 Apr: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today celebrated its 47th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm, pledging to celebrate the next Foundation Day with a hat-trick victory in the 2027 assembly elections in Uttarakhand. Extending greetings to all the party workers, State President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt today stated that despite facing oppressive and conspiratorial politics, the BJP has emerged as the world’s largest political party. He remarked that the current politics of falsehood and deception pales in comparison to the sacrifices and struggles endured by the organisation in its journey.

The main ceremony at the State Party Office witnessed the presence of a large number of party leaders and workers led by State President Mahendra Bhatt and State General Secretary (Organisation) Ajaey Kumar.

On this occasion, the party flag was hoisted, sweets were distributed, and workers exchanged greetings. The event was marked by spirited slogans and detailed discussions on the organisation’s journey.

Addressing the gathering, Bhatt paid rich tributes to the selfless and dedicated workers who laid the foundation of the organisation. He recalled that the party’s journey, which began with just two seats in 1952, has now led to forming the government at the Centre for three consecutive terms. He highlighted the immense sacrifices made by workers to strengthen the party and the nation, mentioning Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s supreme sacrifice for Kashmir’s integration with India. He also recalled the hardships faced by thousands of workers during the Emergency in defence of democracy. Bhatt also asserted that the BJP governments have consistently worked for national development and cultural preservation and he cited the reconstruction and development of religious sites such as Badrinath and Kedarnath in Uttarakhand as examples of the party’s nationalist ethos.

Bhatt reminded the party workers that the BJP has grown into the world’s largest party by overcoming oppressive and conspiratorial politics, and that present time challenges are insignificant compared to the past. The BJP MP stressed that despite the opposition spreading lies and confusion, they cannot break the BJP’s resolve and dedication. The party, he declared, is determined to celebrate its next Foundation Day after securing a hat-trick in the 2027 assembly elections in Uttarakhand.

State General Secretary (Organisation) Ajaey Kumar, in his address, described the Foundation Day as a matter of immense pride, inspiring new energy to advance the nation and society. He emphasised on the principle of “Charaveti Charaveti” (keep moving forward), urging the workers to strengthen dialogue at the booth level in the coming days. He also stressed that such efforts are vital not only for political interests but also for national and social welfare. He added that as the world’s largest party, the BJP bears the greatest responsibility, and this spirit must guide the Foundation Day programmes. He called for booth-level flag hoisting and dialogue meetings with primary and active workers, along with seminars, cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns, exhibitions and other events ensuring maximum public participation.
