Actor Paresh Rawal calls on CM

Dehradun, 14 Oct: Leading film actor and former BJP MP Paresh Rawal called on Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the CM’s Camp Office here today. He was accompanied by film actor, writer and director Ananth Narayan Mahadevan on the occasion. Rawal is currently participating in the shooting of a Bollywood film titled ‘Pastt Tense,’ directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, in Dehradun, Rishikesh, and Mussoorie.
During his meeting with the CM, Rawal shared that he has been shooting for the film in Uttarakhand for the last 42 days. He noted that the state has a very good environment for filming. Full cooperation was received for shooting films from the public as well as government departments. He added that there is a very peaceful environment in the state for shooting, and the people of Uttarakhand have a very positive ideology. Rawal further shared that he is also shooting for another film in Uttarakhand.
CM Dhami observed that there are many lovely destinations for shooting films in Uttarakhand. There are many places with abundant natural beauty in the hills. Every destination in the state is suitable for filming. Many exotic locations like Adi Kailash, Chakrata, and Mana are in Uttarakhand. The CM reminded the visitors that the Uttarakhand Film Policy-2024 has been instituted here. A grant of 30 percent of the total amount spent in the state or a maximum of Rs 3 crore is being given to films made in Hindi and other languages included in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution. A grant of 30 percent of the amount spent in the state or a maximum of Rs 3 crore is being given to foreign films and films with a budget of more than Rs 50 crore. A grant of a maximum of Rs 2 crore of the amount spent in the state is being given to films in regional languages of the state. He added that permission for shooting films in the state is being provided through a single-window system.
On this occasion, film producers Anup Poddar, Aishwarya Meshram, Shivam Yadav and his PR professional wife Kartikee Yadav, actor and editor of Garhwal Post Satish Sharma, journalist Dr Anjali Nauriyal, Joint Director of Information and Joint Chief Executive Officer of Uttarakhand Film Development Council, Dr Nitin Upadhyay were also present.
