Dehradun, 23 Dec: “Rozgar Mela 2024 (Phase-2)” was organised at the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, Seemadwar, here today. Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta was the Chief Guest at the event.
During the function, Tamta reminded that employment fairs were organised at 45 centres across various states and union territories in India today, aiming to realise the vision of a developed India. Through these fairs, appointment letters are being distributed to about 71,000 youth across India, including Uttarakhand. Various central police organisations, including the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, and Central Industrial Security Force, were present at the Dehradun centre.
Tamta handed over appointment letters to 285 youths selected in the Indian Army, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), DFS, and Postal Department. The Prime Minister congratulated the youths on their appointments through an online virtual meeting. The Government of India has provided employment to more than 71,000 people through these fairs, with about 50,000 vacant posts filled in Central Police Organizations (CAPF) alone.
Tamta expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister Modi on behalf of the newly appointed youths, acknowledging his tireless efforts in creating golden opportunities in government jobs. He also thanked the officers and personnel of the force for organising the employment fair systematically at the 23rd Battalion, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, Dehradun Camp Premises.
The event was also attended amongst others by MLA Savita Kapoor, IG Northern Frontier Sanjay Gunjyal, DIG Regional Headquarters Manu Maharaj, DIG Northern Frontier Brigadier Sandeep Junjha (Brigadier), DIG Medical Dr Joy Bardhane, Commander 23 Battalion of ITBP Piyush Pushkar, Commander.
Appointment letters distributed to 285 youth today included 160 in ITBP; 32 in RPF, 29 in CISF. 7 in SSB; 18 in BSF; 6 in Postal; 28 in DSF 28 and 5 in BHEL.
