Dehradun, 13 Aug: Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, organied an educational visit for students of the School of Applied and Life Sciences to the laboratories and other facilities of Himalaya Wellness Company, Dehradun unit, today.
A group of 40 students accompanied by 3 faculty members, under the leadership of Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh, Director, School of Applied & Life Sciences and Dean, Research & Studies, participated in this enriching academic-industrial interaction.
During the visit, students were given a guided tour of the labs and industry processes, gaining first hand insights into advanced research methodologies, quality control systems, and the practical implementation of applied sciences in wellness and pharmaceutical innovations.
Addressing the young students, Dr S Farooq, President, Himalaya Wellness Company, highlighted recent developments in the field of Applied and Life Sciences. He encouraged the students to remain inquisitive and innovative, emphasising that the future of wellness and pharmaceutical sciences lies in integrating traditional knowledge with modern research. His words inspired the students to pursue excellence and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of science and society.
Prof (Dr) Monika Singh, Dr Sonika Kalia and Dr Sauraj expressed gratitude to Dr S Farooq and staff members for extending this opportunity.
