Dehradun, 16 Dec: In the year 1971, Indian Army under Field Marshal, Late SHFJ Manekshaw, the
then COAS handed over a crushing defeat to Pakistan which led to the liberation of
Bangladesh. The resounding victory was a direct result of unparalleled valour and gallantry displayed by the brave soldiers of the Indian Army.
On the occasion of the 51st Vijay Diwas, Brig Mohan Singh Bisht, Officiating Station Commander, Dehradun, Brig Gurbir Singh, Commander HQ 42 Infantry Brigade, Senior Serving and Veteran officers, JCOs, & NCOs laid wreaths at the Lal Gate War Memorial, to pay homage to the fallen soldiers of our Armed Forces.
