Dehradun, 1 Dec: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has welcomed approval of the Joshimath reconstruction plan by the Centre. The party has assured the people of the state that the government will do everything to create a safe and beautiful Joshimath. Bhatt, in a statement, said today that the Centre and the state government have come out with the best possible restoration and rehabilitation package for Joshimath. The government would change the picture of Joshimath with the help of the Centre.
On behalf of all the people of the state, Bhatt also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for sanctioning Rs 1658.17 crores for restoration of Joshimath.
He reminded that, during the month of January this year, due to cracks in the ground, an atmosphere of fear had been created regarding the future and safety of the city. However, due to the Dhami government’s awareness and seriousness, even after such a huge disaster, there was no loss of human life. The BJP leader claimed that the party and the government are concerned and sincere about dealing with this crisis in which hundreds of people lost their houses and livelihood. Now, Joshimath will be made safe and beautiful again and for this the Centre and the state government have come out with the best possible rehabilitation package. The state had sent a well-planned proposal as per the requirement and, on this entire issue, the PM had constituted a high-level committee under the chairmanship of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. Bhatt asserted that it is a matter of happiness for everyone that such a huge amount of money has been approved for the recovery and reconstruction plan.
He assured that the BJP government is committed to bringing the same happiness to the people of Joshimath as existed before the crisis. The state government, with the help of the central government, will make the city safer and tourism friendly than before. The courage and alertness with which the local residents have so far supported the administration in dealing with this entire disaster is exemplary and it is hoped that they will continue their support to the implementation of the reconstruction plan.
