Dehradun, 23 Mar: On the second day of the international conclave at Graphic Era Hill University, experts discussed women’s participation in environment, law and order.
Renowned environmentalist Dr Vandana Shiva appreciated the role of women farmers in environmental protection. She said that women farmers can become an example by working independently and can show a new path of change to society.
Environmentalist Dr Reena Pant said that, earlier, the role of gender in the society was fixed but, with the changing dynamics, it is necessary that women and men support each other for overall progress.
Dr Divya Joshi of Cleveland University and Advocate Mayuri Raghuvanshi made a presentation on the legal rights of women by joining online.
Dr Nisha Chandran, Rishika Yadav, Richa Gupta and other students were present on the occasion.
