Dehradun, 23 Nov: Five senior writers in various categories were awarded REC VOW Awards at the ongoing Valley of Words Literature and Arts Festival, here, today. The awards were for the winners for the year 2018. Gillian Wright was given the REC VOW Award for the year 2018 under the category of writings for young adults for her book ‘Misti, the Mirzapur Labrador’.
Jerry Pinto was awarded for best writing in English fiction for his book ‘Murder in Mahim’. Rajiv Dogra was awarded under the category of English Non Fiction for his book, ‘Durand ‘s Curse’. Govind Mishra was awarded for his book ‘Shyam Ki Jhilmil’ under the category of Hindi Fiction, while KK Goyanka was awarded for his work ‘Premchand Ka Sahitya’ under the category of Hindi non-fiction.
