Dehradun, 3 Feb: In keeping with its tradition of excellence, the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, has once again demonstrated its excellence in grooming future military leaders. The institution has added another feather to its cap by ensuring the success of 24 cadets in the Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews following the National Defence Academy (NDA)/Naval Academy (NA) Examination II 2024.
Given the nationwide competition, where over 9 lakh aspirants appear for the NDA/NA written examination and only around 400 ultimately qualify for admission to the National Defence Academy, the achievement of RIMC cadets stands a testimony to the methodical training, unparalleled mentorship, focused growth and overall personality development achieved by the cadets over their 5 years journey at the institution.
The pass percentage of RIMC cadets continues to set a benchmark, reinforcing the college’s reputation as the premier destination for young boys and girls aspiring to serve as officers in the Indian Armed Forces.
This stellar accomplishment is accredited to the visionary leadership of the Commandant, Col Rahul Agarwal along with his team of masters and mentors who guided the aspiring cadets at all times. Their unwavering dedication and commitment to excellence have equipped the cadets with the mental resilience, discipline, and knowledge required to succeed in one of the toughest selection processes in the country.
The SSB interview is known for its rigorous assessment of a candidate’s intelligence, leadership potential, psychological aptitude, and physical fitness. With an acceptance rate of less than 0.05%, clearing this stage requires more than just academic prowess—it demands exceptional problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and leadership qualities. RIMC’s structured training curriculum ensures that cadets are not only academically prepared but also mentally and physically conditioned to face the challenges of the selection process with confidence.
