Dehradun, 4 Feb: In the case of fake BAMS degree doctors, the Dehradun police have now arrested three employees of the Medical Council of India, Uttarakhand after gathering enough evidence in this regard. These employees are stated to be working in collusion with the mastermind of the fake BAMS degree scam, Imlakh. All three employees who were arrested today are employees of the Indian Medical Council, Uttarakhand. Police have recovered suspicious documents containing fake degree registration in Medical Council and medical college letter pads, envelopes and stamps of many different states from their possession.
According to DIG Dehradun Dalip Singh Kunwar, several more arrests were likely in near future in this regard. Those arrested today were Vimal Prasad Bijalwan, current resident of Nehrugram and original resident of Bag Patti in Tehri district; Ankur Maheshwari, resident of Haripur Nawada, Police Station Nehru Colony Dehradun and Vivek Rawat, resident of 183 Officers Colony Race Course Dehradun and native of Mahoba in UP.
According to the police Imlakh, the chairman of the fake educational institute located in Muzaffarnagar, used to create fake degrees and also managed their registration with Indian Medical Council with the connivance of these accused officials of Medical Council. These accused were getting up to Rs 1 lakh per fake registration., the racket was allegedly running since 2012.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed strict action under Gangster Act against the fake degree mafia Imlakh and his associates.
