8th All India Asian Challenge Basketball Tournament begins at Asian School

Dehradun, 29 Apr: The 8th All India Asian Challenge Basketball Tournament began at the Asian School, here, today. The ceremony commenced with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Principal AK Das, who declared the tournament open.
The oath of fair play taken by Mohd Zubair Ahmed Khan, Captain of the host school. This was followed by the first match of the tournament. Many participants are state and national level players.
In the Morning Session, the first match was between TAS – B and Holy Public School. The second match was between Sacred Souls and Kasiga School and was won by the latter. The third Match was between Selaqui World School and The Doon School.
In the Evening Session, the first match was between TAS–A and DIS and was won by The Asian School. The second match was between MNSS Rai and Holy Public School and was won by the latter. The third match between TAS and The Doon School was won by the latter.
All the matches were closely contested with spectators eager for some splendid netting.
Among those present on the occasion were Vice President of The Asian School Madanjeet Singh Juneja, Director Gaganjyot Singh Juneja, coaches from participating schools, the staff and the students of The Asian School.
