Dehradun, 29 Apr: Anna Tanvir, accompanied by Maninder Singh on the guitar, sang songs in Celtic, Irish, French, Malagasy and Spanish languages at The Heritage School, here, today. In the beginning of the programme, School Director Siddhartha Chaudhary presented the duo a bunch of flowers. The duo sings songs in different languages, different rhythms and musical combinations.
Their programme is a soulful musical journey from Dublin to Dehradun.
One of the songs sung by Anna was written by her when a girl outside a Coffee shop asked her to sing an Irish song. Maninder Singh is a bass player and vocalist in many different musical genres.
The programme ended with a Hindi song ‘Ye Shaam Mastani’. School President Avadhesh Chaudhary, Principal B Gill, Headmistress V Wanganoo, teachers and students witnessed the programme.
Principal Gill thanked the singers for presenting the songs in diverse languages.
