Dehradun, 17 Jun: Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr Vijay Kumar Jogdande addressed the media at the Secretariat on Wednesday regarding the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) programme in Uttarakhand.

He stated that, under the SIR process, 98 percent of enumeration forms have been distributed across the state, while 12 percent of the forms have already been digitised. He further stated that more than 99 percent distribution of forms has been achieved in the districts of Champawat, Rudraprayag, Almora, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, and Pauri Garhwal.

Even in districts with comparatively lower progress, distribution has remained high, with approximately 95 percent in Dehradun, 96 percent in Nainital, and 97 percent in Tehri.

Regarding digitisation, Dr. Jogdande said that Almora leads with 33 percent digitisation, followed by Pauri Garhwal with 25 percent and Pithoragarh with 23 percent. In comparison, Nainital has digitised 4 percent, Dehradun 7 percent, and Udham Singh Nagar approximately 8 percent of the forms.

He stated that all districts have been instructed to complete the campaign within the stipulated timeline. He added that all recognised political parties have appointed 22,900 Booth Level Agents (BLAs) across the state. A meeting with political parties, chaired by the Chief Electoral Officer, is scheduled for 18 June 2026.

Dr Jogdande stated that after the distribution and collection of enumeration forms are completed by 7 July, booth reorganisation will be carried out within one week.

The Draft Electoral Roll will be published on 14 July 2026. The period for filing claims and objections will remain open from 14 July to 13 August 2026.

During the same period, notices will be issued and claims and objections will be resolved between 14 July and 11 September 2026. As per the directions of the Election Commission, the Final Electoral Roll will be published on 15 September 2026.

Dr Jogdande stated that voters can also fill out and submit their enumeration forms online through the ECI Net App.

He further stated that the Election Commission of India has introduced a voter-friendly feature called “Book a Call with BLO”, enabling voters to schedule a call with their Booth Level Officer (BLO) with a single click.

Voters can avail this service by visiting the ECI Voters Portal or by downloading the ECI Net mobile application. Once a call is booked, the BLO will contact the voter within two days.

Dr Jogdande added that, for the convenience of voters, the 2003 Electoral Roll has been made available on the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Uttarakhand.

Voters can search their details using their Assembly Constituency, their own name, or the name of their father or spouse to obtain information such as voter serial number and polling booth details. The portal also provides a search facility based on locality, street, neighbourhood, or area names, making it easier for citizens to locate their records.
