DEHRADUN, 28 Feb: The BJP family on Saturday paid rich tributes to late Ram Pratap Mishra ‘Saketi’, Editor of the BJP State organisation’s thought journal ‘Devkamal’ and a senior journalist and litterateur. Describing his demise as an irreparable loss not only to journalism and the world of literature but also to the ideological discourse of the party, State BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt expressed deep sorrow at his passing.
Following his sudden demise a few days ago, a condolence meeting was organised today at the party’s State headquarters where his contributions were fondly remembered. Floral tributes were offered at his portrait by State president Mahendra Bhatt, State General Secretary (Organisation) Ajaey Kumar and a large number of party office-bearers and public representatives. On the occasion, Bhatt stated that the organisation would always remember the invaluable contribution rendered by Saketi with utmost dedication. He described Saketi as a priceless gem of journalism and literature whose writings would continue to guide future generations. He prayed to the Almighty to grant the departed soul a noble place at His divine feet.
