Dehradun, 3 Jun: In a bid to make the state’s health services more effective, Health Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey has issued orders for the appointment of Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) in seven districts of Uttarakhand. The government claims that the move aims to reinforce health systems, improve the quality of medical services and ensure better facilities for the general public.
According to the notification, Dr Yogesh Purohit has been posted in Almora, Dr Rashim Pant in Nainital, Dr Harish Chandra Pant in Pithoragarh, Dr Meghna Aswal in Pauri, Dr Amit Kumar Shukla in Rudraprayag, Dr Ram Prakash in Tehri and Dr Shyam Vijay in Uttarkashi.
Pandey expressed confidence that the appointments will strengthen health arrangements in the respective districts and provide improved medical facilities to the people. He emphasised that the government remains committed to enhancing healthcare delivery across the state and ensuring that citizens benefit from accessible and quality medical services.
