Mussoorie, 14 Jul: A new executive committee of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) was unanimously formed during a meeting held on Tuesday at Mussoorie Girls’ Inter College, here. The meeting went beyond mere formalities, serving as an occasion to honour meritorious students and inspire a commitment to education.
Upholding her tradition, former Principal Abha Saili honoured students who excelled in the board examinations by presenting them with cash awards of Rs 5,000 each. She remarked that encouraging talent motivates other students to perform better. Additionally, Neelam Chauhan honored student Palak with an incentive prize of Rs 1,100 for securing the highest marks in the High School Home Science subject. Teachers and parents applauded the student, encouraging her for her achievement.
During the meeting, the newly formed PTA executive committee pledged to further improve the school’s academic environment and strengthen coordination between parents and teachers. Everyone praised former Principal Abha Saili’s inspiring initiative, noting that such honours instil a spirit of healthy competition and infuse students with renewed energy to excel. A large number of teachers, parents, students, and PTA office-bearers attended the event.
