Dehradun, 13 Aug: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today hoisted the national flag at his official residence here and gave a strong message of participation in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. He appealed to the people of Uttarakhand to join the movement with respect for the national flag and patriotic fervour by hoisting the tricolour at their homes, establishments and public places, thereby making the campaign a collective success.
Dhami said that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is not merely a programme but a celebration of dedication, unity and pride for the nation. The tricolour symbolises the country’s identity, self‑respect, sacrifice and valour, and it is the duty of every citizen to accord the highest honour to the national flag. He emphasised that the campaign, launched at the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has now become a people’s movement, connecting every citizen with the spirit of nation‑building.
He noted that Uttarakhand, known as Veerbhumi, has always played a leading role in the defence and service of the nation, and therefore every family in the state should participate enthusiastically in the campaign to further strengthen its glorious tradition of patriotism. Dhami urged the citizens to ensure that the tricolour is hoisted at their homes, to follow the Flag Code of India, and to instil respect for the national flag and the values of patriotism among their families, children and youth.
He called upon the people to collectively transform the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign into a mass movement and to reinforce national unity, integrity and pride by honouring the tricolour.
