Dehradun, 13 Aug: The Press Information Bureau (PIB) Dehradun has appealed to all the residents of the state to participate enthusiastically in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and reaffirm their collective resolve towards building a developed India. The campaign, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022, has grown into a mass movement with people across the country taking part in Tiranga yatras, bike and cycle rallies, cultural programmes and other activities that celebrate the national flag and the spirit of patriotism.
Addressing the programme, Assistant Director with PIB Dehradun, Sanjeev Sundriyal said that the tricolour is a symbol of national pride and an eternal inspiration to dedicate everything for the country. He urged everyone to join the campaign with zeal and to reiterate their commitment to contribute to the vision of a developed India. He also called upon the officials and staff of Doordarshan Dehradun, Akashvani and PIB Dehradun to actively promote the campaign and encourage citizens to hoist the national flag with pride.
Sundriyal expressed happiness that this year the campaign is dedicated to ‘Vande Mataram’ as the nation marks 150 years of the iconic song. He said the tricolour embodies the spirit of the motherland and serves as a constant motivation for every citizen to give their best for the nation. He added that to spread awareness, the Central Bureau of Communication Dehradun under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will organise programmes in New Tehri highlighting themes such as Partition Horrors and Vande Mataram, showcasing the journey of the national flag, the struggle for independence and the essence of patriotism.
On the occasion, staff from Doordarshan Dehradun, Akashvani and PIB Dehradun were also present and collectively pledged to contribute actively towards building a clean, healthy and sustainable India.
