KOTDWAR, 29 Jan: On the occasion of her birthday, Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly and local MLA Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, inaugurated the “Didi Ki Pathshala” in Uday Rampur, Kotdwar. She distributed school bags and educational materials to the children on the ocassion.
Ritu Khanduri shared that during the municipal elections, when she had visited Uday Rampur and met with Gaurav, a physically-challenged, local resident actively involved with the community. Gaurav will be teaching the children through the “Didi Ki Pathshala,” offering not just education but also games like carrom and chess. Additionally, children will be taught important life skills such as manners, proper sitting and standing postures, and communication skills to aid their overall development.
The Speaker also mentioned that she would personally contribute to the teaching efforts at “Didi Ki Pathshala,” helping children improve their language skills in both English and Hindi, as well as give a fillip to their confidence. She further stated that “Didi Ki Pathshala” would be free of cost, with the goal of providing children in the region with not only academic education but also essential life skills to tackle future challenges. And, if this initiative proves successful, it would be expanded to a larger scale.
On her special day, the Speaker celebrated with the children, wishing them a bright future in the field of education.
This initiative has been highly appreciated by the local residents and the community, who view it as a positive step for the children in the region.
