AIIMS Rishikesh observes Vigilance Awareness Week

Dehradun, 4 Nov: Prof Meenu Singh, Executive Director, AIIMS Rishikesh, said today that every employee of the institute would have to be aware of corruption. She called upon the officers and employees to cooperate in the prevention of any kind of corruption at the social and institutional levels.

Various programmes related to vigilance awareness, including essay and poster competitions, were organised at AIIMS Rishikesh as part of the ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ that started on 31 October on the topic, ‘Corruption Free India for a Developed Nation’. Dr Meenu Singh asserted that it is not possible to build a corruption-free India and a developed nation due to the difference in words and deeds. She added, “We have to curb the activities that harm society and the nation in any way. Everyone should start with themselves.”

The Deputy Director of the Institute, Lt Col AK Mukherjee said that, after joining AIIMS, he had identified some issues from the point of view of intelligence at the institutional level and taken corrective measures.

On this occasion, the President of the Organising Committee, Brigadier Professor Sudhir Saxena presented his views on vigilance.

Meritorious participants of various competitions were honoured and rewarded by the officials of the institute. Prof Jaya Chaturvedi, Dean, Academics, Prof Sanjeev Kumar Mittal, Medical Superintendent, Rajiv Chaudhary, Registrar, Administrative Officer and Organising Committee member Gaurav Badola, Prof Manu Malhotra, Prof Geeta Negi, Rajendra Kumar, Prof Brijendra Singh, Principal, College of Nursing, Prof Smriti Arora, Financial Advisor Lt Col Siddharth, Prof AK Mandal, Prof Sanjay Agarwal, Dr Neelam Kayastha, and Law Officer Pradeep Pandey, etc., were present on the occasion.
