DEHRADUN, 18 Dec: As is rightly said, ‘Christmas is not a season but a feeling.’ This quote finds validation in the way St. Joseph’s Academy celebrated a hybrid Christmas Programme ‘The Joy of Christmas’, today. The Programme started with Khyati Sehrawat leading everyone into a holy prayer. The Chief Guest, Sister Alice – Principal – Convent of Jesus and Mary, was given a hearty welcome, followed by a mesmerising rendition by the combined choir and a breathtaking dance performance by the host school, SJA. On one hand schools like St. Ann’s Sr. Sec. School Sahastradhara, St. Joseph’s Academy – the host school, Convent of Jesus and Mary, St. Agnes’ Inter College, Ann Mary School, and Khrist Jyoti Academy enthralled the audience with their live performances and on the other Carman School, Dalanwala, St. Patrick’s Academy, St. Mary’s Convent School – Clement Town, St. Jude’s School and Grace Academy splendidly contributed to the event virtually. Hilton School requires a special mention as its teachers left everyone spellbound by presenting a medley of two songs. The Nativity Play by SJA brought alive the Christmas spirit in one and all. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and wished Merry Christmas to everyone present. The programme culminated with the Principal, Bro. Jeyaseelan presenting the vote of thanks, after which the combined choir regaled the audience with the ever popular number – Feliz Navidad.
