Dehradun, 24 Sep: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today claimed that the Pushkar Singh Dhami government is resolutely committed to eradicating ‘cheating jihad’. While speaking to the media in Dehradun today, BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt claimed that cheating jihad is being orchestrated to mislead the youth and disrupt development in Uttarakhand.
Mahendra Bhatt asserted that none of those involved in the conspiracy would be spared, stressing that both the government and the organisation are fully vigilant on the issue.
Addressing reporters during the BJP’s state-level organisational workshop in Dehradun, Bhatt described the uproar created barely half an hour after the commencement of the examination as part of a deep conspiracy. He contended that it was a deliberate attempt to malign the reputation of the institution entrusted with the conduct of the examination. Bhatt assured that the police are thoroughly investigating the matter and that the truth would soon come to light. He further underlined that the party would not allow any attempt to foment anarchy or incite the youth in the name of ‘cheating jihad’ to succeed.
The BJP President also emphasised that the people of Uttarakhand are well aware of the government’s efforts, pointing to the provision of employment to 25,000 youth and the conduct of transparent recruitment examinations under the state’s stringent anti-copying law.
Bhatt also levelled allegations against the opposition, accusing it of consistently resisting measures such as the laws on ‘love jihad,’ ‘land jihad,’ ‘spitting jihad’, and the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). He claimed that the opposition is now attempting to undermine CM Dhami’s initiatives in order to deny him due credit. He added that the BJP would ensure that those who shield or promote any form of jihad would be brought within the ambit of the law.
BJP’s State in-charge and National General Secretary Dushyant Gautam, who was also present at the BJP meet held here, today, declared that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami are genuine well-wishers of the youth and have consistently taken decisions in their interest. Referring to the youth-driven campaign against copying and recruitment irregularities, he said that the government is acting firmly on the matter in accordance with the law.
