MUSSOORIE, 4 May: Raghav A Bijalwan and Raj A Bijalwan are twin-brothers, born and brought up in Mussoorie. Both of them completed their schooling from CJM Hampton Court, Mussoorie, and their graduation from Graphic Era Hill University. Currently, they’re pursuing their post-graduation studies from the same university.
Their book, ‘Longings of Landour’, was jointly launched by Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha National Vice President and National Media Panelist of BJP, Neha Joshi, and author Ganesh Saili on 3 May.
The twin-brothers have published their debut books individually on dimensions of love. They are passionate about writing and learning about culture and traditions of the country, especially their home state, Devbhumi Uttarakhand.
‘Longings of Landour’ is a reflection on what Mussoorie had and what it is losing, silently. A collection of 135 poems and 2 odes, the book revolves around the hope, love and longing. The urge to reestablish the lost glory of Mussoorie remains and presents the very perception of taking responsibility at the individual level to preserve the culture and the glory of the town.
The book underlines the serious need for introspection and realisation on the part of citizens so as to preserve this town. The book has made an attempt to bring the citizens on a platform to preserve the glory of the town!
