Dehradun, 16 Jan: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Dr BVRC Purushottam and Deputy Election Commissioner of the Election Commission of India, Sanjay Kumar, jointly conducted a high-level review meeting via video conference with District Magistrates of all districts on Tuesday regarding the distribution and digitisation of enumeration forms under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign.

During the meeting, the Chief Electoral Officer directed all districts to ensure 100 percent distribution of enumeration forms within the stipulated timeline. He instructed districts where form distribution is nearing completion to focus on the digitisation process. He further directed District Magistrates to conduct booth-wise reviews and deploy additional personnel as helping hands at polling stations where the pace of distribution and digitisation remains slow.

The CEO also instructed that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) should jointly visit the residences of absent voters and make a minimum of three visits to ensure proper verification and coverage.

Deputy Election Commissioner Sanjay Kumar directed that, in districts where form distribution has been completed but voters are not available, the list of such voters should be shared with the concerned Booth Level Agents after completion of the digitisation process. He further instructed BLOs to record detailed field reports in the enumeration forms for voters categorised as absent, shifted, deceased, or duplicate.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr Vijay Kumar Jogdande, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Prakash Chandra Dumka, Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Mastu Das, along with District Magistrates and Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) from all districts.
