Dehradun, 8 Jan: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today launched several digital projects developed by the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) and the National Informatics Centre (NIC), here, at the Secretariat.

During the event, the Chief Minister highlighted that, in today’s world, challenges such as cybersecurity and data protection, along with the need to make public services more efficient, faster, and inclusive, have been addressed by the ITDA and NIC through the development of various online platforms. These platforms will enable the general public to easily access a variety of services on a single platform, following the “All-in-One” model. The progress of departmental tasks can be monitored online, thereby increasing transparency and accountability.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the S3WaaS (Secure, Scalable, and Accessible Website as a Service) framework would serve as a milestone in terms of cybersecurity, ensuring the safety of all departmental websites.

He also mentioned that it is significant that the ITDA has been recognised by UIDAI as an AUA (Authentication User Agency) and KUA (Key User Agency). With this, services related to Aadhaar authentication and e-KYC will be provided through portals developed by various state departments, such as UCC and Virtual Registry.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister noted that the State Data Centre has improved itself after cyber-attacks. The Near Disaster Recovery facility has been set up at the Secretariat, which ensures that sensitive state applications and websites can be restored within 15 minutes in the event of an emergency. The Security Operations Centre at the State Data Centre operates 24/7, ensuring enhanced security for the state’s digital infrastructure.

The Chief Minister praised the efforts made to strengthen and improve the state’s digital systems and emphasised the importance of improving the implementation of digitalisation. He instructed all departments to maintain up-to-date information. He also directed the ITDA to guide all departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations on the newly developed platforms.

The Chief Minister appreciated the collaborative efforts of NIC and ITDA, motivating both to continue working in harmony to enhance IT capabilities in Uttarakhand.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan, Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu and L Fanni, Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, Nitesh Jha, Pankaj Pandey, Deependra Chaudhary, Dr R Rajesh Kumar, ITDA Director Nitika Khandelwal, and other associated officials.
