Roorkee, 8 Jun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Bhoomi Pujan programme of the BJP office, here, today. On this occasion, he made three announcements for the Roorkee region.

In his address on the occasion, Pushkar Singh Dhami said that, based on the blessings of Baba Kedar and Badri Vishal, and the service, dedication and true loyalty of all the workers, the Bhoomi Pujan of the party office in Roorkee became possible.

Recalling Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, he said that with the formation of the Jan Sangh, he laid the foundation of a nationalist organisation that today has become the biggest political party in the world – the Bharatiya Janata Party. Remembering Deendayal Upadhyay, he said that the leader worked to enhance India’s pride in the whole world with his ideology and distinctive intellectuality. He also mentioned former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, for granting statehood to Uttarakhand.

Dhami said that the country is making rapid progress in every field under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A new India is being created to which all party workers would make their contribution. The country has entered the Amrit Mahotsav of independence under the efficient and energetic leadership of the Prime Minister. While India is touching new heights of development at the national level, it is gaining a new identity as a strong, capable and self-reliant country at the global level. A grand Ram temple is being constructed in Ayodhya. The reconstruction work of Kedarnath is going on at a fast pace. Works are being done in Badrinath under the master plan. Ropeways are being constructed in Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib. Work on the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line is progressing at a fast pace. Work is underway on the elevated road from Dehradun to Delhi. The army is becoming powerful. Health services are expanding rapidly. The person standing last in line is being linked to the mainstream of development. A new education policy is being followed, which is a combination of the ancient and modern education systems.
Dhami added that Prime Minister Modi has given the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” to revive the country’s pride. Welfare schemes have worked to bring a smile to the faces of the poor. The country’s infrastructure is being made world-class. Today, with the cooperation of the Central and State Governments, Uttarakhand is also moving forward at a fast pace in the race to become the best state. Steps were taken by the government on tough issues ranging from the crackdown on corruption and recruitment scams in the state to uniform civil code, anti-conversion law, women’s reservation, land law, making the country’s strictest anti-copying law and giving three free cylinders to the poor. The state government is taking decisions in the interest of the state on such issues, which were kept in cold storage for years.
Present on this occasion were BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, Haridwar MP Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, MLA Pradeep Batra, General Secretary Ajey Kumar, District BJP President Shobharam Prajapati and other office-bearers of the party.
