DEHRADUN, 26 Apr: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, presiding over a meeting of senior officials at the Chief Minister’s residence here on Saturday, instructed the authorities to identify all Pakistani nationals residing in the state and initiate their repatriation without delay. He further directed officials to expedite the ongoing verification campaign across the region, imposing strict penalties on those who fail to conduct tenant verification as required. He emphasised that swift action must be taken against individuals exploiting government schemes through falsified records.
In light of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Chief Minister also issued directives to strengthen security measures along the Char Dham Yatra route. He ordered that any suspicious individual found on the Yatra route be immediately detained. Additionally, Dhami also stressed upon the need to raise public awareness regarding security protocols and instructed officials to introduce a toll-free number dedicated to reporting suspicious activities, enabling citizens to share information promptly.
