Dehradun, 17 Jul: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has asked all the municipal bodies in the state to take effective steps to prevent spread of malaria and dengue during the current monsoon period. On his direction, Urban Development Director Nitin Bhadauria today issued orders to all Municipal Commissioners and Executive Officers of the civic bodies to essentially visit their areas under their civic jurisdiction twice a day and send the compliance report to the Directorate, Urban Affairs, in this regard.
Dhami has expressed serious concern towards the prevention of diseases like dengue-malaria along with the need to maintain sanitation and cleanliness during the ongoing monsoon season. It may be recalled that, at a recently held meeting, the CM had observed that there is a risk of water-borne diseases including dengue-malaria during the monsoon season and had issued necessary instructions for prevention of water logging, to ensure cleanliness and sanitation to prevent spread of diseases like dengue, malaria, etc.
