Dehradun, 18 Jun: A condolence resolution was passed at the Uttarakhand Cabinet meeting held at the Secretariat today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, mourning the demise of former Chief Minister Maj Gen BC Khanduri (Retd) and renowned shooter and Padma Shri awardee Jaspal Rana.
At the beginning of the meeting, the cabinet ministers and the officials observed two minutes’ silence and paid heartfelt tributes to the departed souls. Chief Minister Dhami observed during the meeting that BC Khanduri had made significant contributions to the development of the state, good governance and public service. He also noted that ace shooter Jaspal Rana too had brought immense pride to both Uttarakhand and the nation through his outstanding achievements in shooting at the national and international levels. He added that the extraordinary contribution made by them will always be remembered.
