Dehradun, 6 May: Acharya Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham today reached the sacred Badrinath Dham by a special helicopter. A large crowd gathered around him on this occasion. The temple complex resonated with chants of ‘Jai Badri Vishal’ and ‘Jai Shri Ram’ as worshippers welcomed him with garlands and fervent acclamations, intensifying the atmosphere of faith and reverence.

According to information received through Teerth purohits, Shastri is likely to stay in Badrinath for 22 days and engage in deep meditation and special spiritual practices at various sites along the tranquil banks of the Rishi Ganga. It has been claimed by Shastri’s followers that his retreat is not confined to personal austerities but will also include discourses and narrations aimed at spreading the message of world peace, service to humanity and the propagation of Sanatan Dharma.

Shastri’s arrival today at Badrinath was marked by greetings from saints and local dignitaries, including Baba Yogeshwar Das Maharaj and Rajesh Mehta, president of the Char Dham Hotel Association. The local residents claim that such spiritual congregations strengthen both religious tourism and faith in the region.

In wake of Shastri’s growing popularity and the large crowds assembling to see him, the administration has made elaborate security arrangements. Additional police forces have been deployed around the temple premises and his place of stay to ensure smooth movement and safety of devotees. Shastri is known to visit Badrinath every year to offer prayers to Lord Badri Vishal and perform special rituals for the prosperity of the nation. This year, his extended 22-day retreat has become a focal point of attraction for pilgrims and followers alike.
