DIS Riverside Campus hosts CBSE ‘Training of Trainers’ Programme

Dehradun, 28 Apr: Doon International School Riverside Campus, Dehradun, hosted the CBSE Training of Trainers (ToT) Certification Programme on 25-26 April. Organised under the aegis of CBSE’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) Dehradun, in collaboration with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM), New Delhi, the event marked a significant stride in fostering professional growth and equipping educators with essential 21st-century skills.

The two-day programme brought together seasoned Principals, Vice Principals, and teachers from CBSE-affiliated schools, offering them an unparalleled opportunity to enhance their pedagogical skills and leadership competencies. Participants were trained by experts, including Pramod Kumar Jaiswal, Deputy Director, ISTM, and Kirti Puri, Head of Department, Institute of Hotel Management, Shimla, both of whom shared their extensive expertise and inspired all with their insights.

Adding to the enriching experience, Sanjeev Jain, Principal of Pinewood School, Saharanpur, conducted an engaging session on Experiential Learning and elaborated on the principles and vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. His session emphasised the importance of active, student-centred learning approaches and the evolving role of educators in today’s dynamic educational landscape.

Aligned with the NEP 2020 vision of continuous professional development, the ToT Programme emphasised collaborative learning, critical thinking, and innovation in education. Participants received recognised certifications from CBSE/ISTM, equipping them to serve as Resource Persons for future training initiatives.
