Dolphin’s Annual Week, SRIJAN-2020, in full swing

DEHRADUN, 26 Feb: Cutthroat competition is being seen among the various departments in the various cultural and sports competitions being held during the 18th Annual Week, SRIJAN-2020, of Dolphin PGI. Based on the results of the sports competitions in basketball, kabaddi, volleyball, football, cricket, athletics track and field events, kho-kho, chess, badminton, table tennis, etc., the Department of Forestry is leading with 40 points, followed closely by the Department of Agriculture. Department of Horticulture and Mixed Department, too, are performing well. Vipul Garg, Dean, Student’s Welfare Council, disclosed that the Dolphin Student’s Council organised an Annual Week, every year, at which cultural competitions like Mehandi, Paper cutting, debate competition, rangoli, essay competition, cartoon designing, poster presentation, face painting, war of instruments, flower decorations, western Indian dance, solo song, duet song, antakshri, mime, theme based dance, skit & drama, etc., along with sports competitions are held for the students. This will be followed by the 18th Annual Day, UDAAN-2020, which will be held on 28 February, 2020. The best boy and best girl prizes, star faculty of the year prize, winners of the various competitions and overall and runner’s up championship trophies shall be awarded. Chairman of the Institute Arvind Gupta, Principal Dr Shailja Pant, Director Dr Arun Kumar, Dean, DSWC, Vipul Garg, Additional Director VK Nagpal, Joint Director Sunil Kaul, Dr Shruti Sharma, Prerna Bahuguna, Dr Raju, Dr Kanika Issar, Malti Sawhney along with HODs, faculty members and students were present at the programme, today.
