Dehradun, 14 Jul: The Doon Citizens’ Council, a three decade old organisation, held its Fifth Executive Committee meeting on Sunday at Hotel Madhuban, here.
The Council President, Dr DS Mann, welcomed the members and apprised them of the positive response received in successful last AGM, to which the Mayor of Dehradun, Saurabh Thapliyal, and environmentalist Anoop Nautiyal had been invited. The Honorary Secretary Pramod Kumar Kapur read out the minutes of the last meeting and updated members on the present state of the council. Besides the points raised in the last AGM before the local administration, the members discussed the future course of action for the betterment of the citizens of Dehradun.
Patron SP Kochhar was presented a bouquet, and the Secretary General, Dr S Farooq, proposed the vote of thanks.
