Dehradun, 8 Mar: “A woman is a symbol of love, God’s finest and beautiful creation.” This was conveyed to teachers, mothers and other women at Doon Sarla Academy, which celebrated International Women’s Day in the school auditorium, today.
The programme began with a song dedicated to women. It was followed by entertaining games and cake cutting. Principal Anubha Sharma and MD Suresh Joshi spoke about women’s competence, intellectual capacity and their ability to hold high responsibility as efficiently as do men.
The Principal asked the teachers to feel proud as they are women, who play their roles as mother, daughter, wife, friend, sister, doctor, teacher, etc.
