Dehradun, 5 Aug: Dehradun district administration is set to organise a one‑day employment fair on 11 August from 9.30 a.m. onwards at the Regional Employment Office to provide better employment opportunities in the private sector for unemployed youth of the district. In this fair, several reputed private companies are expected to conduct interviews and complete the selection process for a total of 559 vacant posts.
Regional Employment Officer Mamta Chauhan Negi informed the media that the registration for candidates wishing to participate in the employment fair had begun yesterday at the Regional Employment Office. She said that the interested candidates may visit the office on any working day prior to the interviews to complete their registration.
Negi further stated that at the time of the registration, candidates would need to bring their biodata, original educational and other required certificates along with the photocopies, employment office registration card, passport‑size photographs and a valid identity proof.
Companies participating in the employment fair include CAMP‑108, NITT Limited, Parishram Resource Private Limited, Dixon, Axis Bank, Izone, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, Barbeque Nation, Ipca, Mochiko and TI Medicos among others. These companies will interview the candidates in order to fill up a total of 559 vacant posts.
The Regional Employment Officer also clarified that the number of the companies and available vacancies in the employment fair may increase or decrease depending on the circumstances. She appealed to the maximum number of educated and employment‑seeking youth of the district to register in time and avail the benefit of the fair.
