Mussoorie, 23 Dec: The golf cart service was officially launched, here, today. SDM, Sadar, Hari Giri flagged off the golf cart on Mall Road. The rickshaw drivers were particularly pleased with this development. In the first phase, four golf carts are being run on Mussoorie Mall Road.
SDM Hari Giri said that the district administration is operating these golf carts from the tourism point of view and the needs of the city. The golf carts have been launched with the cooperation of the Nagar Palika and rickshaw drivers. He expressed hope that golf carts would be operated in a very good manner. The number of golf carts will be increased over time. The routes of golf carts will be determined to reach various places in Mussoorie.
President of Mussoorie Mazdoor Sangh, Ranjit Singh Chauhan said that, with the cooperation of the administration, talks were being held continuously with the administration regarding the operation of golf carts. He said that a contract will be signed between Nagar Palika Mussoorie and Mazdoor Sangh to operate the golf carts so that there is no dispute about in future. Gaurav Kumar, SDM, Mussoorie was also present on this occasion.
