CM lays foundation stones, inaugurates projects worth Rs 355 crores in Kashipur

Kashipur, 15 May: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami laid the foundation stones and inaugurated 113 development schemes worth Rs 355.27 crores, here, today. Of the total projects worth Rs 355 crores, foundation stones were laid for 102 projects worth Rs 287.36 crores, while 11 projects worth Rs 67.91 crore were inaugurated on this occasion. All these projects are related to the assembly constituencies of Kashipur, Jaspur, Bajpur and Gadarpur.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the CM said that a new era of development will be ushered in at these constituencies due to the projects that have been inaugurated or those whose foundation stones have been laid today.

The CM claimed that the draft of the State Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand will be ready by 30 June and it would be implemented soon. He also claimed that this draft UCC will become a model for the entire nation. He called upon all the states to implement the Uniform Civil Code. He added that work is being done to enact a strict land law in the state to prevent change in demography and land jihad. He asserted that the state government will not let land jihad and encroachments continue in Uttarakhand. Illegal encroachment will not be allowed to happen at any cost.

Dhami said that the inauguration and foundation stone laying of the schemes done today would speed up the development works and fulfil the needs of the people in the coming times. With the foundation stone laying and dedication of drinking water schemes, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious schemes like ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ will get a boost and drinking water made available to a larger section of society. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, working with the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas is the goal of the state government. The government will ensure every effort towards ensuring good governance and towards making the state corruption free. The decisions required will be taken in the interest of the state of Uttarakhand. The government has also given three gas cylinders free of cost per year to more than 1.81 lakh poor families per year. Drinking water has already been made available to 11.30 lakh houses as against the total number of 15 lakh houses in the state.

He said that the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayaas” given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to pave the way for faster and all round development of the country has changed the direction and condition of the country. The welfare schemes for the poor launched by the Prime Minister have worked to bring a smile on the face of every person standing on the last rung. He said that, earlier, only plans were made, but now plans are also implemented. Similarly, to make the country’s infrastructure world-class, where the foundation stone of big schemes is laid by the Prime Minister, all are being inaugurated also. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the country has become the fifth largest economy in the world and is also being counted among the leading countries in the world on the stage of global diplomacy.

The CM claimed that with the mutual cooperation of the Central and State Governments, Uttarakhand is also moving fast towards becoming a leading state. He said that from the recent crackdown on corruption and recruitment scams to uniform civil code, anti-conversion law, women’s reservation, land law, making the country’s strictest anti-copying law, land jihad and giving three free cylinders to the poor, several “historic steps” have been taken by the government.

He said that Kashipur has been developing as an industrial city and the government is reviewing all the requirements for proper development here.

Union Minister of State for Defence and Tourism Ajay Bhatt, BJP State President Mehendra Bhatt, BJP District President Gunjan Sukhija also addressed the gathering on this occasion. MLAs Trilok Singh Cheema, Shiv Arora, Adesh Singh Chauhan, Arvind Pandey, former MLA Dr Shailendra Mohan Singhal, District Magistrate Yugal Kishore Pant, SSP Manjunath TC, Chief Development Officer Vishal Mishra were among those present.
