Dehradun, 16 Sep: A Grandparents’ Day programme was organised at Graphic Era’s Prof KP Nautiyal Auditorium by Graphic Era Global School. In the programme, children showcased cultural performances dedicated to their grandparents and received applause. The programme began with Saraswati Vandana followed by songs sung by the children for their grandparents.
A play based on Bhartendu Harishchandra’s ‘Andher Nagri Chaupat Raja’ was well received by the audience.
Chief Patron of Graphic Era, RC Ghanshala said that for the overall development of children, paying attention to studies along with sports and cultural activities is very important. He said that discipline has a great significance in life and by following a disciplined life one can reach the peak of success.
President of Graphic Era Educational Society Lakshmi Ghanshala said that grandparents love their grandchildren immensely and Graphic Era Global School tries to give the same love to its students.
On the occasion of Hindi Divas, students took an oath to promote the Hindi language. Students gave a speech on the Hindi language as well. Head boy Arjun Ghanshala and Head girl Vaishnavi Chaube proposed the vote of thanks.
Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University Dr Sanjay Jasola, Principal of Graphic Era Global School, Raj Kumar Trehan, teachers, students and their grandparents were also present on the occasion.
