HESCO to train Forest Dept personnel on Ecosystem Model

By Our Staff Reporter

Dehradun, 14 Jul: HoFF Vinod Singhal, DFO, Dehradun, Nitish Mani Tripathi, Ranger, Asharodi Range, Uday Gaur and other officials discussed HESCO’s Ecosystem Model, here, today.

Discussions were held on the ongoing collaboration between the Forest Department and HESCO. Dr Anil Joshi of HESCO told Vinod Singhal that the ecosystem developed by the organisation includes all aspects of ecology, be it forest, wildlife or water – all aspects of nature are included. Therefore, it should be seen as a Central of Excellence. People at all levels in the forest department should be brought here for training so that they can follow this model.

HoFF Vinod Singhal said he would take forward this ecosystem model at the Forest Department and the Forest Academy, where forest guards and foresters take various types of training. They would be associated with this model developed by HESCO. He also stated that there should be a nature trail so that people can also become involved and understand the natural aspects of this ecosystem.
