DEHRADUN, 16 Jul: The Himalayan Public School celebrated ‘Guru Purnima’, with reverence and gaiety. The programme commenced with garlanding of the pictures of the legendary Gurus by school Chairman Dr Aditya Arya, Principal Dr Ena Banerjee, Director, Administration, Col VS Mall (Retd), followed by a prayer dedicated to the ‘Gurus’. The school students recited dohas and the school choir presented a melodious song in which they sang praises of the Gurus. Students also enlightened everyone on the relevance of celebrating ‘Guru Purnima’. The school prefects showered flower petals on their teachers and took their blessings. Prasad was distributed later.
