Dehradun, 18 Oct: In its endeavour to help the local industry scale up and become competitive at the national and global level, CII Uttarakhand Chapter, today, organised a leadership talk with Sunil Kant Munjal, Past President, CII, and Chairman Hero Enterprises. Munjal has interests in insurance distribution, steel-making, real estate and corporate training. He has made strategic investments in several areas ranging from e-commerce to hospitality. He also supports start-ups on digital learning, community transportation, healthcare, women empowerment and education.
While addressing the CII members, Munjal shared his experience of scaling up Hero Cycles to making it the largest motorcycle manufacturing company in the world. He urged the participants to innovate, adapt and inspire in order to succeed in the current dynamic business environment.
Mukesh Goyal, Chairman, CII Uttarakhand State Council, stated that the organisation has been proactively working for the development of industry in the state and told members that such focused interactions were a great source of learning and development.
Vipul Dawar, Convener, Panel on MSME and Competitiveness and Managing Director, Indo German Brakes Pvt Ltd, appreciated CII for organising the focused interactive session where Uttarakhand industry members could discuss, debate and seek guidance from the senior industry veterans in their respective areas of expertise.
The session was well attended by senior industry members from various sectors including Automobile, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Tourism, Garments, Media and Entertainment in Dehradun. CII aims to organise more such sessions in the coming months.
