Dehradun, 3 Jun: It is learnt Ajay Gupta and his brother-in-law Anil Gupta are planning to file a fresh petition tomorrow in the district sessions court. In most likelihood, the Guptas will remain present in the court on virtual basis in view of the fact that during the last hearing on their bail petition, ink had been thrown at them by some miscreants and slogans raised against them.

Meanwhile, the investigative agencies have detected a large number of transactions worth crores of rupees done in the bank accounts of the Guptas with various firms without any written agreement with them. Sources claimed that over Rs 30 crores have been received by the Guptas in their accounts from at least 5 construction firms. Also details of the investments made by Guptas have emerged, all without any legal agreements signed with any of the related parties.

The Police sources claim that show cause notices are being issued to the companies concerned. Sources also claim that that possibility of money laundering is also very strong in this case. According to the police, during the investigation of this case, it has emerged that M/s Avni Paridhi Energy Communications Company, Vijayeta Webrageous Company, Surpal Publicity Private Limited Company, Invi Holding Private Limited Company, Arjun Singh Johal Company and NV Digitalities and Briefers Private Limited Company have made a transaction of Rs 30 crore in the project that was owned by the deceased Satinder (Baba) Sawhney through his companies. Officially, there is no record of any business link between these companies and the Sawhneys and the Guptas. In this regard, notices have been sent to the said companies to obtain details regarding these transactions and investigation is going on.  Sources claimed that the Guptas did not invest much of their own money in the Sawhney projects but asked others to do so, all without any written agreement.

Meanwhile, speaking to Garhwal Post, DR Maurya, DIG, Suddhowala Prison, claimed that the Guptas are not getting any special treatment in the jail and are kept with other inmates in common rooms. He also informed that as against the capacity of 580 prisoners in the jail, at present more than 1,300 prisoners are kept in the jail.
