Dehradun, 30 Oct: At the direction of the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority, Nainital, the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Dehradun, Neha Kushawaha organised a legal awareness campaign regarding ‘Sankalp Nasha Mukti Devbhoomi Scheme’ in ‘Rajkiya Inter College, Gujrada, here.
The Secretary, DLSA, enlightened the students and teachers of the school regarding the ‘Sankalp Nasha Mukti Devbhoomi Scheme’ and requested them to help the Authority in eradication of the drug menace from society. The students promised to support DLSA in this task. Many students also provided important information.
Later, the Secretary held a meeting with the Principal and teachers of the school. The school shall establish an Anti-Drug Clinic. The Secretary further directed all Para Legal Volunteers of Dehradun to spread legal awareness regarding the Scheme through campaigns in all schools on a daily basis. The PLVs are actively participating in the same.
The Secretary also enlightened the students on the POCSO Act, child marriage laws, Juvenile laws, cyber laws, domestic violence act, maintenance laws, Hamdard Scheme, etc. Students performed a Nukkad Natak regarding eradication of the drug menace.
More than 300 students and teachers benefited through this campaign.
