DEHRADUN, 14 Jan: Dehra Dun Club celebrated Lohri with traditional Punjabi flavour. Famous Bhangra and Gidda Artists were specially invited from Chandigarh to give a live performance. A local band led by Ravi provided foot stomping music and sang traditional Punjabi songs which were apt for the occasion. The Lohri bonfire was lit by Managing Committee Members and other senior Members of the Club who were present for the celebrations. Peanuts, Rewari and Popcorn were distributed and Members and their families including children were seen offering the same to the bonfire. The music and dance performers kept the large gathering of Club Members and their families mesmerised till midnight. It was a large gathering celebrating Lohri in the wintery cold night.
