Dehradun, 8 Mar: International Women’s Day was celebrated at Luthra Maternity & Infertility Centre with great zeal and enthusiasm. The doctors at the Hospital emphasised on the need to break the barrier of sexual discrimination.
The theme for this year’s Women’s Day is Gender Equality for a sustainable tomorrow, as women are contributing to the development and progress of the nation in every field.
Doctors at the centre interacted with patients and conveyed the message of practicing gender equality. Patients and Doctors at the centre shared some light moments over refreshments and Dr Vanita presented a motivational song, Dr Daisy Pathak and Dr Yogita gave their message to the patients to celebrate each day as if it’s Women’s Day and every woman should aspire to achieve fame and recognition in life.
Dr Arti Luthra, Director of Luthra Maternity and Infertility Centre, conveyed her message to all the young girls, to dream and aspire to be well educated, financially independent so that they are totally free from the old shackles of society such as dowry, female foeticide and sexual harassment.
