Mussoorie, 23 Mar: Martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were remembered on Martyrdom Day here, today, at a programme held under the aegis of IPTA by paying floral tribute at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk. The statue of Bhagat Singh was garlanded on the occasion. IPTA members paid tribute to Bhagat Singh by singing patriotic songs. At the same time, the Mussoorie BJP Yuva Morcha, ABVP and MPG College Students’ Union remembered the martyrs by garlanding the statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
Former student union president Manoj Rengwal, student leader Sumit Bhandari and state general secretary of IPTA Satish Kumar said that the day reminded people of the value of freedom. Whatever people have today is because of the martyrs.
Among those present were BJP Mandal President Rakesh Rawat, Yuva Morcha President Ravindra Rawat, former Students’ Union President Manoj Rengwal, former Vice-President, Mussoorie BJP, Amit Bhatt, former Mahila Morcha President Pushpa Padiyar, Anil Singh Annu, Sumit Bhandari, Umed Chand Kumai, Rakesh Thakur, Students’ Union President Pritam Lal, Vice President Sourav Singh Singh, University representative Mohan Shahi, Yashodhan Patwal, Suraj Chand Kumai and many others.
