DEHRADUN, 24 Oct: The ‘First Look’ of the Miss Uttarakhand 2019 contest being organised by Sinmit Communications was held at Hotel Madhuban, here, today. As many as 29 girls from districts and towns such as Haridwar, Dehradun, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Almora, Tehri, Pauri and Khatima qualified for the First Look. The show was choreographed by Akanksha Gupta and directed by Prateek Lamba. The Founders of Sinmit Communications, Dalip Sindhi and Rajeev Mittal, were also present on the occasion. On the occasion, Dalip Sindhi stated, “The pageant aims to celebrate women of the state. We work on grooming them and giving them an edge. We want them to have similar grooming and exposure as girls from other states. Girls are more fashion conscious and informed as compared to previous times.” Rajeev Mittal also disclosed that the First Look will be followed by several sub-contests in which the girls will be judged on various aspects such as talent, looks, smile, skin, fitness, etc. The girls who qualified for the First Look were Akanksha Chhetri, Akanksha Devgan, Akanksha Negi, Anchal Bisht, Ananya Bist, Apurva Dobhal, Arushi Baluni, Babita Bisht, Deepika Pandey, Heena Arya, Kanchan, Kusum Rawat, Manisha Dhiman, Mansi Rawat, Manvi Chhetri, Nazish Khan, Neelam Negi, Preeti Rawat, Rabina Kumari, Rajeshwari Pokhriya, Richa Baluni, Samiksha Saklani, Sana Bisht, Santoshi Jena, Shivani Bisht, Sneha Pundir, Sumedha Rawat, Vishakha Biyal and Shreya.
