DEHRADUN, 15 Sep: Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi distributed fruits and juice in Ward 2 of Vijay Colony as part of ‘Seva Saptah’ celebrations. This was done in collaboration with ‘Nirakshrit Kalyan Samiti’ and Dabar India. The Service Week is being held as part of celebrations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 69th birthday, which falls on 17 September. The week is being celebrated nationwide by the BJP from 14 to 20 September. It involves spreading the message of cleanliness, ending single-use of plastic, water conseration and other campaigns. MLA Joshi said the BJP was resolved to serve the people, particularly the poor. President of the Twenty- Point Programme Committee, Naresh Bansal reminded that gifts received by PM Modi were being auctioned off and the funds received thereby would be used for welfare of the poor and clean-up of the Ganga. He pointed out that insanitary conditions affected the poor the most. Present on the occasion were Surendra Rana, Corporators Satyendra Nath and Sushil Purohit, Dr Babita Sahotra, Dinesh Chaman, Jumman, Shubham Dadar, Om Prakash Bawadi, Pradeep Rawat, MPS Pundir and others.
