New BTech Session begins at GEHU

DEHRADUN, 24 Jul: President of Graphic Era Group Dr Kamal Ghanshala said, today, that the parents of students studying in any university could best describe its quality. Dr Ghanshala was addressing the parents of the new BTech batch on the first day of the BTech Induction Programme at the Graphic Era Hill University, here, today. He said that parents were the eyes and ears of the university. The parents gave authentic feedback and suggestions which were included for the improvement in the working of the university. And for the same purpose, the parent-teacher interaction was the main concern of the induction programme. He claimed that Graphic Era was known to set new records with its placements. Ujjwal Kumar, student of BTech, CS, grabbed an annual package of Rs 55 lakhs and also got a job offer from SNS Designs. At the same time, Adobe had offered a package of Rs 40.67 lakhs to Shubhi Muniyal, student of BTech, CS. Adobe had offered a package of Rs 26.21 lakhs annually to three students of BTech, CS, of Graphic Era Hill University – Bhavana Gaur, Akansha Dhyani and Nimisha Agarwal. Dr Ghanshala also focused on the infrastructure, the food court, bus facility, etc., provided by Graphic Era. He also asked parents to guide their children that whenever they went out of the college campus they ought to be alert and safe. GEHU Vice-Chancellor Dr Sanjay Jasola congratulated the parents and said the university had been encouraging students to be dedicated to education, discipline and duties. He asserted that Graphic Era is included in the top 10 universities of India in cleanliness. It was also included among the 10 best institutes of India in the Digital Initiative and learning by MHRD. In the 12 days of the induction programme, students were encouraged to take up various projects based on subjects like Android application, IOT, etc. Head of the Management Department Vishal Sagar gave mantras to the students to work on more output in limited amount of time. There was also screening of motivational movies at the programme. Present on the occasion were Dr Ajay Kumar, Director, Graphic Era Hill University, Heads of various BTech branches, and faculty members of other departments. The programme was hosted by BTech faculty Himani Sivaram.
