NITI Aayog Member Dr Srinivas briefs Gov on SDGs, healthcare goals

Dehradun, 9 Jul: Dr M Srinivas, Member of NITI Aayog, paid a courtesy call on Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd), at the Lok Bhavan, here, on Thursday.

During the meeting, Dr Srinivas shared his suggestions on strengthening healthcare services, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and enhancing the AYUSH sector. He emphasised the need to improve health indicators in Uttarakhand and further strengthen primary healthcare, as well as emergency and trauma care services across the state.

The Governor stated that the State Government is continuously working to improve healthcare services and ensure the holistic development of the AYUSH sector. He expressed confidence that sustained efforts would continue to achieve public welfare objectives. The Governor also noted that NITI Aayog has consistently extended positive support to Uttarakhand’s development and expressed confidence that such cooperation would continue in accordance with the state’s evolving needs.
